How close are you to the nearest city?
We are located approximately 90 miles southwest of the D/FW metroplex and 140 miles northwest of Austin.
What should the client bring with them?
We suggest that clients bring about 2 weeks’ worth of clothing, several different kinds of shoes for hiking, outdoor sports and other activities, personal hygiene products, and a prepaid debit or visa card for store trips.
Upon admission, Brazos will provide each client with the following items: a pillow and bedding, a towel, a clothes hamper and a backpack.
Are clients allowed visitations and/or phone calls?
Clients earn phone calls and visitations after reaching specific levels of our program. How quickly they earn these privileges depends directly on how diligent they are at working their steps.
Are you a licensed treatment facility?
Brazos Intensive Outpatient Program is a licensed substance abuse treatment facility. We are licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services Regulatory Licensing Unit.
How are you different from other treatment centers?
We are a long term 12 step based treatment facility. Our program is specifically designed to work all 12 steps and begin practicing living as a sober gentleman.
We also offer an on-site transitional program for those that have graduated, but still want to maintain a high level of accountability before venturing out on their own.
Why do you recommend long term treatment?
Statistics show that the longer you can keep an addict engaged in the recovery process, the better his chances for long term sobriety.
